Apparently jangly jewellery messes with the sound, and fancy patterns can make the image strobe.
With friend Jackie Kerin, next week I'm going to be filmed for a Storytime program for community television Channel 31. The session is built about my picture book There Was an Old Sailor and will include a reading, some songs and rhymes and a boat-building activity.
We've rehearsed the program, now to plan the wardrobe...
